Situated in a quiet area of macher, yet only minutes away from all amenities, Casa Morena has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a private (heated) pool, magnificent sea and mountain views and offers all you could want for a relaxing holiday in the sun but you can still catch your usual BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and 5 programmes if you wish; also free internet. We use this villa ourselves when visiting Lanzarote (it is next door to Casa Bonita - see futher information and reviews on this site) and have only recently started advertising it.
A small entrance hall opens into a large split level open space with lounge down to the right (with 40" TV, DVD and CD players) and dining area to the left with study area off that. Ahead is a wide corridor with master bedroom (king size double bed) and en-suite to the right, a storage room with small safe straight ahead and then turns leading to two further bedrooms (one with king size double bed and one with twin singles) and bar. The fully fitted kitchen can be accessed from either the dining area or the corridor and is complete with gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and all the usual appliances. A small utility room contains the washing machine.
A generous welcome pack is there on arrival so you can have something to eat and drink as soon as you get there. This includes milk, tea, coffee, sugar, bread, cheese and/or ham, a few tomatoes, a bottle of wine and some beer together with a carton of orange juice and a bottle of water. These may vary and you can substitute if you wish, eg eggs for cheese.

A non-returnable 25% deposit (minimum £175) is payable on booking and the balance to be paid not later than 8 weeks before arrival date. Arrival less than 8 weeks away will need to have the total cost paid on booking.
Discounts may be available for long term (more than 4 weeks together) bookings.
We prefer payments directly into our bank account by online banking or by paying over the counter at a bank; alternatively, we can accept payments using all major cards via PayPal but this will incur a 4% handling fee and is not available for very late bookings (less than 2 weeks).
We also welcome payment in euros.
Mácher is a 15-minute drive from the airport. It offers a quiet and peaceful holiday in a private situation. Mácher offers a number of restaurants and a supermarket and it has wonderful sea views. Just off the main Arrecife-Yaiza road, the village is centrally situated.

Owner's Tips...
Within a few minutes drive are the beaches of Puerto del Carmen with all the bustle of the sea-front shops and restaurants and the beautiful marina of Puerto Calero with its tapas bars, designer shops and boats. The national park of Timanfaya is not far away; also the green lake at El Golfo where there are wonderful fish restaurants and the vinyards in La Garia - well worth a visit. Within walking distance (about 1 km) of the villa is the village of Macher with a small supermarkets, garage and excellent restaurants, one of which is run by an English couple and is famous throughout the island for its excellence. Within about 5-10 minutes drive are also horse and camel riding and a new golf course.

“Alison my wife and I stayed for a week in late January this year. We found the villa to be very spacious, comfortable and the facilities excellent. The villa is very private and in a quiet area with tremendous views on both mountains and the coast. It was great to find the owners living in the villa next door and they ensured that we had whatever we wanted. The extensive patio and pool areas enable the largest of parties to get on with enjoying the sun without tripping over one another and BBQ facilities are there for those who don't want to avail themselves of the many excellent restaurants which are only a short drive away. A revisit is a must for us.”

About us
We live in Croydon in Surrey and have been married for 38 years; we have two children and three grandchildren. Nicky was born and brought up in Bristol while Tony is a Londoner. We met at Cardiff university.
What we love about our property
The best thing is the peace. We live in England in the Greater London area near the busy crossover of the A22 and A23. The quiet of our home in Lanzarote is so noticeable as well as the clear, clean air, so different to that we are used to in England. The views are amazing and we never tire of looking out over the fields to the sea, watching the cruisers, ferries and other boats going to and from Fuerteventura. We like to watch the birds and have had trumpeter finches nesting in one of our palms this year. Near enough to shops and beaches but far away from tourist hustle and bustle.
