Accommodation description
Featured in The Telegraph, The Times and The Guardian in 2010. This 83m2 luxury yurt suite (10 meter in diameter) is the the largest yurt at this location. It has been finished to a very high standard by a local interior designer and, with its own walled terrace and garden, provides superb sustainable accommodation for a family, or for a couple who prefer lots of private space.
Inside this authentic Mongolian yurt, special touches include plush fabrics, handpicked antique Mongolian and Balinese hardwood furniture. This spacious yurt has 3 internal bedrooms which are divided by heavy curtains giving you more privacy. Two of the rooms have super king-size beds and the third room has two single beds. The yurt has star light features in its floor and traditional two-skin cover keep the yurt draft-free and ensure a constant ambient temperature. A central skylight allows ventilation as well as romantic star-gazing.
Outside, the yurt benefits from a very private, tranquil setting, which makes it perfect for family use. Its 300 sq m plot includes a terrace and graveled garden which is stone-walled and gated, with plenty of safe play space, and features a shaded daybed, bamboo dining gazebo for al-fresco dining (parents of young children should be aware there are some steps at the entrance gate to the terrace). The spacious shower room oozes indulgence, with a walk-in shower, toilet, and feature marble floor and sink. There is a large corner bath set out side within a bamboo fenced area. This yurt is unique as it features a large covered outdoor kitchen and lounge area, with granite-topped breakfast bar, which is fully equipped for self-catering the lounge has comfortable sofas and spectacular mountain views from where you can enjoy outdoor shaded living.
This yurt is next to the track which leads down to the beach, its private outdoor area – complete with sun loungers – has fabulous mountain views towards the Temisa, Tabayesco valley. Stunning sea views are possible from the elevated bamboo dining gazebo. There is also a second, shared, shower room and toilet, covered kitchen and lounge in the pool and chill-out area nearby with WIFI internet access.
Exclusive for guests at the Eco Yurt Royale and included in the price are return private airport transfers, including a bottle of chilled sparkling wine on the arrival journey and use of the 2010 Eco-car the Toyota Hybrid Prius. (drivers must be over 25 years old)
Features on site at the Eco retreat Finca de Arrieta include a solar heated pool (fenced and gated), free range hens offering eggs daily, a resident donkey, 300 meters to the sandy beach of Arrieta.
Also included is a welcome pack complete with a bottle of wine, water, crisps, milk, tea and coffee.

Prices include a return airport pick up with a chilled bottle of cava on your arrival journey. Also exclusive use of a 2010 Toyota Prius for the duration of your stay (drivers must be over 25).
Linen, towels and basic welcome pack including water, wine, milk, and other essential items are also included.
To reserve, a deposit of 30% of total cost is required with the balance outstanding due 1 month before arrival. Payment can be made by credit card or bank transfer.

The yurt is set in a fabulous location of Eco Finca De Arrieta over looking the beach in the north east of the island. The Eco Retreat occupies 30,000 square metres of spectacular scenery with views bordered by the sparkling ocean to one side and the black volcanic mountains on the other.
Finca De Arrieta is powered by the largest green energy system on the island, prides itself on offering ethically minded travellers the opportunity to enjoy a little luxury in their eco-lifestyle. Combine that with the charm of the nearby coastal village of Arrieta, the laid back atmosphere at the Finca offers any traveller the opportunity to discover an essence of the real Lanzarote.
Finca De Arrieta offers different styles of accomodation, from a luxury villa to silk lined Mongolian Yurts, all beautifully and uniquely designed with Indonesian and Moroccan touches. The beautifully designed outdoor areas make the most of the warm climate. With sea and mountain views, solar powered pool and outdoor areas perfect for relaxation, each day at the Finca will be a unique holiday experience.
Younger visitors will be amused not only by collecting eggs from the free-range hens and meeting Mollie, our resident donkey, but also by letting off steam in the mini adventure playground with wooden "pirat" boat and a sunken trampoline.
The costal location is a perfect setting for a relaxing peaceful holiday in the countryside with the beauty of being next to the sea. Arrieta beach and village are just a 5 minute walk away, the village has the beauty of being a traditional Canarian Fishing Village, however providing all of the amenities you may need like excellent restaurants, local supermarkets, bakery and sea front tapas bars. A wonderful place to holiday and experience the true Lanzarote life style.
This area of Lanzarote is fantastic for walking and mountain biking. Or maybe you just want to relax and read a good book next to the pool in peaceful surroundings.
Local activities include surfing, sailing, fishing, wind-surfing, tennis, cycling, horse riding, paragliding, golf, walking, mountain biking, and swimming.

“This property was above and beyond our excited expectations. It was complete luxury to the max with a perfect relaxed, helpful vibe in the grounds. The staff were totally amazing and the area of our Yurt completely private so we felt tremendously relaxed by the time we got home. It was a complete haven for our toddler who is still talking about the animals. The beach close by was very clean , relaxed and safe and the local eateries fab. We also did the Finca family BBQ on the monday - yummy and my husband went out on Tila surf trip which was also great. 100% recommended. We are just trying to work out when we can get back!”

“The six days we spent at Finca de Arrieta were just superb. The Eco Yurt Royale was fabulous and even more glamourous than it looks in the photographs. If you are looking to treat yourselves to somewhere special, do it, its worth it. Everything is extremely comfortable. We relaxed straightaway and that's how we stayed. No pressures, everything we needed to hand, Michelle, Tila and their back up team have been very thoughtful in what is supplied. Sally was lovely, so friendly and helpful. We loved the outside living, even when it was raining and a bit windy, sitting on the comfy sofa, reading, chatting, drinking, eating but still out in the fresh air, just wonderful - you were right Sally it really is "glamping".
We met some of the other guests, everyone so friendly and enjoying themselves, the place just leans to it. We were there on our own and enjoyed the peace and quiet but so enjoyed seeing the children around having such a good time and will certainly consider returning either with friends or family, would love to bring the grandchildren, they would have a ball.
We needed the car (I have a dodgy knee) but did manage to walk down to the beach, although we had to cross the road as the underpass path is vey low to bend down to get through. It was not a problem but it is not recommend that you walk back up the road at night. Wind up torch supplied, which you would also need if you wanted to go to out to the bathroom at night, but there were the moon and stars to guide you too, not to mention the solar lights, it was lovely, take a constellation map with you, you could lose some sleep sitting out there studying the stars (mind you I am sure "the team" would have come up with one if I had asked.)
To sum up - if you are thinking about going, book it, you will have a relaxed, great time, whether as a family or a couple.”

About us
Lanzarote Retreats.com is a family run business which has been growing fast since summer 2007. Lanzarote Retreats is the creation of Tila and Michelle Braddock who wanted to offer a rural type accommodation mainly in and around Arrieta in the North of the Island where they live and love.
Arrieta is a traditional Lanzarote fishing village, a hidden jewel on the island, mainly un-discovered by tourists. It boasts wonderful sea front restaurants, quaint historic buildings and has a great beach for families, with a beach bar, play park and it is often great for body boarding and surfing.
They strive to offer you a personal service when booking and during your holiday in Lanzarote, as Tila and Michelle live at Finca de Arrieta they are always at hand for any information or help during your stay. Tila and Michelle are helped by Sarah who is based in their Costa Teguise office.
What we love about our business
Tila and Michelle have lived on Lanzarote for over 20 years and have bought up their 4 children here and been involved in Island life. The Lonely Planet guide book for the Canary Islands (4th Edition page 133 and 139) interviewed Tila and Michelle regarding Lanzarote and they feature along with Finca De Arrieta in the "Local Voices"section. They clearly love the island and therefore sharing it with those visiting the island through their holiday rental business.
