This lovely villa was once part of an old farm house and retains all its original charm, thick walls and courtyards. It has been newly decorated to a very high standard and is extremely comfortable. The lovely, large living room has an attractive beamed ceiling, a dining area to seat eight, a wood burning stove and doors leading to the courtyard. The separate, country style kitchen is very well equipped and has a breakfast area and door to the courtyard. There are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed, patio doors to the rear courtyard and a very attractive en-suite bathroom with Moroccan style cobalt and white tiles. The other two bedrooms have twin beds and share a Canarian style shower room with an extra large walk in shower.
The outside areas of the villa are totally private and secluded. A very pretty, flower filled courtyard leads into the property. It has a large, traditional built in dining and barbecue area for cosy al-fresco dining. At the back of the property there is another large walled courtyard, which surrounds the heated swimming pool and sunbathing terrace. The pool measures approximately 8x4metres with roman steps and there is a poolside shower adjacent to it.

Nestling in the hills behind Tias, Conil is a perfect example of the traditional Canarian village. While quiet and rural, it is in easy reach of shops, restaurants and the beaches of Puerto del Carmen. The village has a supermarket, 2 local tapas bars and an international restaurant. The larger town of Tias is a few minutes drive and the main shopping centres of Carmen are just 15 minutes away. Perfect for a relaxing holiday in a tranquil setting, without being isolated.

Owner's Tips...
Conil has it's own supermarket, just 5 minutes walk away. Even nearer is a wonderful rustic Tapas bar. The nearest town is Tias which is only 5 minutes away and hosts two larger supermarkets, several banks, petrol station, medical centre and many bars and restaurants.
Just a 5 minute drive in land will take you to La Geria, the wine region, where several bodegas offer the chance to sample the local wine. La Geria is also classed as an area of outstanding natural beauty. Further a field on the coast lies Puerto Calero, a luxury marina, which offers several restaurants and bars, and also Playa Quemada with a lovely local fish restaurant right by the volcanic rock pools. And not forgetting Puerto del Carmen which is only a 10 minute drive away with plenty of beaches ranging from rocky coves to white sandy beaches, plus the vibrant Lanzarote night life.
Casa Candida is very much a family home and there are plenty of toys, games and books, etc. There is also a travel cot available. Other must haves include washing machine, hairdryer, iron and board. There is also a TV which enables DVD's and vidoes to be watched. And if it should get chilly on a winters evening there is even a woodburning stove.

“The villa is converted from an old farmhouse and as such is great for maintaining a cool environment in what is a hot climate - it was mid-thirties when we were there and when the wind dropped it was really hot outside, but inside it was very pleasant.
The property is spacious and has a quaint rustic style. If you are looking for modern accommodation I would suggest trying elsewhere, but if you prefer something traditional this villa will appeal.
It is well situated as Conil is quite central and we toured all parts of the Island easily from this base. It is only a ten minute drive from the airport.”

“If you want a traditional property in a village location yet perfectly sited to visit places of interest Casa Candida is ideal. Surprisingly large internally with two pleasant courtyard areas to live al fresco. The water pump did trip off a lot while we were there which was a pain if you were in the middle of a shower but flicking a switch rectified the problem. Hopefully the owner will sort this out v soon. Also good if they update the info supplied as some of the recommended restaurants closed over 2 years ago!
We enjoyed our visit greatly and would definitely rent the villa again!”
