About the property

Casa Montana Roja is a luxury villa having been completed late 2003. The villa is furnished to a very high standard and includes many home comforts not usually found in rental properties.

The accommodation comprises three bedrooms, the master bedroom suite is on the first floor and includes king size bed, dressing room area, en-suite bathroom and private rooftop sun terrace with sunbeds, table and chairs.

There are a further two bedrooms downstairs, one with a King Size bed and another with twin beds, sharing a full bathroom. Spacious hallway with white marble stairs to master suite, downstairs bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and lounge.

The lounge has has an archway from the hall and a breakfast bar through to the kitchen. There is UK satellite TV, Hi-Fi and french doors to the spacious terrace and private, electrically heated pool.

The kitchen is fully fitted and includes Bosch fan-assisted oven, Bosch touch control hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, fridge freezer and door through to the dining room which is open to the southerly aspect providing well sheltered, partially alfresco dining overlooking the sun terrace and barbeque. There is a huge teak table and ample seating.

There is ample space on the sun terrace and a private, electrically heated swimming pool measuring 8m x 4m. The pool has the added benefit of a stainless steel handrail to aid entry and exit by the Roman steps.

To the front and side of the villa, there is parking for two vehicles. The road only serves our villa and that of our next door neighbours (who are permanent residents and manage our villa), so there is no danger of traffic.

The villa gardens are completely enclosed by a perimeter wall with decorative railings to the Southern aspect. Casa Montaña Roja enjoys the largest plot on the whole development and to one side there is an open area planted with palm trees so the only neighbours are our friend behind and to the East side, both of whom are permanent residents.

There is a block paved promenade all the way around the Faro Park Peninsular and lighthouse which is a spectacular place to watch the sunset.

Playa Flamingo beach is about 3 km away and easily accessable in a car. The small, very sheltered beach of Playa Blanca is 4.5km away and the world famous beaches of Papagayo are about 6km away (be prepared for a bumpy ride!).

About Playa Blanca, Lanzarote

Playa Blanca is the most southerly resort on Lanzarote and has many advantages for those who are looking for sun, sea and sand as well as good fish restaurants that generally host the catch of the day. From Playa Blanca's seafront you can see across to Fuerteventura, which is a mere 11km by ferry. Ferries cross to the island several times a day from the main harbour.

The front is populated with a variety of beaches, notably Playa Dorada, Papagayo (reckoned to be one of the best on the island) and Playa Flamingo. Playa Blanca has a relaxed atmosphere compared to the more upbeat nightlife in Puerto del Carmen, restaurants on the front feature a wonderful sea view - perfect for couples and families.

Owner's Tips...

Try the Chinese, Italian and traditionally cooked English restaurants - fabulous food and only a 2 minute walk. Thereare 3 very good bars, 2 small supermarkets (one with an in-house bakery) and 2 coffee/patisserie shops very close by too. Fresh croissants for breakfast every morning!
