About the property

A substantial detached house and annex set in extensive gardens 2000m2 and boasting 5 bedrooms in total. Located in the suburb of Puerto del Carmen, on the edge of Los Mojones, with excellent coastal views and within walking distance of the old town.

The villa is extremely spacious and has been built in traditional Spanish style with exposed beams and feature stonework. The large lounge is comfortably furnished with sofas and occasional furniture, TV (with basic Sky TV stations), video and stereo/cd player. There is a feature lava stone wall with fireplace and a high beamed ceiling . The dining room is furnished with built in antique furniture. The separate country kitchen is fully equipped including, full cooker with ceramic hob, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher and a host of equipment for self catering and doors leading to a laundry room with washing machine and drying area.

In the main house there are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has double bed and en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has a double bed and the third bedroom has two single beds.There is a family shower room serving these bedrooms. Two further bedrooms are available in the separate annexe which is set in the gardens and only opened for parties of 7 or more. The bedrooms are very spacious one with a double bed and the other four single beds. Both share a full bathroom. Two z-beds can be made available for use in the main house bringing the maximum occupancy to 14. These beds are only suitable for children.We can also provide 1 cot and a high chair, at no extra cost.

The grounds of the villa are extensive(2000m2) and private with several terraces and sitting areas surrounded by well established sub tropical garden. The main terrace is huge and has a large dining table and chairs shaded under a pergola. From here there are magnificent views of the sea and coastline. Steps lead down to a cave built in volcanic stone. A further terrace and pergola on the west side of the house has a garden view.

A pathway leads through the garden to the beautiful kidney shaped heated(optional) swimming pool which is 12m x 6m with a depth of 1m rising to 2.5m in the deep end. Sunbathing terrace and garden surround the pool, which has the benefit of a slide for extra enjoyment. Sun loungers, terrace furniture and barbecue complete the outside facilities.
NB.Please note that the pool terrace has been updated and is no longer a green astroturf surface as in the thumbnail annexe photo. the pool area has now been tiled.

Las Palmeras is a substantial and well appointed property ideal for families and larger parties who want to be within close proximity to the main resort.

About Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote

About 15 minutes drive from Arrecife airport, Puerto del Carmen offers 5km of broad, pale sandy beaches as well as a wide variety of places to eat and drink and it remains a popular destination for holidaymakers from far and wide. Made up of a ‘new’ and ‘old’ town, Puerto del Carmen has no high-rise structures and almost all buildings are white and unpretentious.

For nightlife in Puerto del Carmen you can watch the locals taking part in a few games of boules in the old town, which seems to be a nightly occurrence. The old town also offers a great variety of restaurants serving fresh fish, while if you head off into the holiday area you'll find everything from traditional English sports bars to Chinese restaurants.

Owner's Tips...

Situated on the edge of the exclusive Los Mojones area, the house commands a fine elevated position just off the main road to Puerto del Carmen. The old harbour town is around a 15 minute walk whilst there are numerous shops bars and restaurants on the way. Although close to the main resort, the villa is conveniently located for the countryside and touring the island.
