About the property

Conveniently situated in a quiet residential area of Playa Blanca, close to the old village, this spacious modern villa is tastefully furnished and equipped to a very high standard. Extensively refurbished in September 2008 it sleeps up to six adults in comfort.

The south-facing lounge, with comfortable seating area, satellite TV (English viewing), music centre and ceiling fans, leads onto a large, elegant covered terrace with patio dining furniture, which overlooks the pool and has views of Montaña Roja to the west, the sea & Fuerteventura to the south. This leads to a traditional Canarian barbeque, with food preparation area and undercover eating.

The large, airy kitchen, fitted with light wood cupboards and granite worktop, is fully equipped and well supplied with all utensils etc. The bedrooms, one double and two twin, are light and well-furnished, with built-in cupboards and ceiling fans. Two travel cots (one for small babies and one for toddlers) are provided; high chairs are available for hire.

The garden, to the south and west of the property, has been planted with a wide range of flowering shrubs, cacti and succulent plants, typical of the flora found in Lanzarote. Loungers and reclining chairs are provided around the newly tiled pool (11 by 4 metres including Roman steps), which is solar heated year-round and also equipped with electric heating (available at an extra cost of £50 per week) to guarantee a warm pool in the winter.

About Playa Blanca, Lanzarote

Playa Blanca is the most southerly resort on Lanzarote and has many advantages for those who are looking for sun, sea and sand as well as good fish restaurants that generally host the catch of the day. From Playa Blanca's seafront you can see across to Fuerteventura, which is a mere 11km by ferry. Ferries cross to the island several times a day from the main harbour.

The front is populated with a variety of beaches, notably Playa Dorada, Papagayo (reckoned to be one of the best on the island) and Playa Flamingo. Playa Blanca has a relaxed atmosphere compared to the more upbeat nightlife in Puerto del Carmen, restaurants on the front feature a wonderful sea view - perfect for couples and families.

Owner's Tips...

Los Sueños is situated in the area known as Montaña Roja. Unlike ‘urbanizations’ (housing estates) with communal pool facilities, Montaña Roja is composed of individual houses, with their own pools.

The villa is approximately 10 minutes’ walk from the nearest beach, Playa Flamingo, which is a sheltered, sandy beach that includes a protected swimming section. There is a selection of bars/cafes and a supermarket at Playa Flamingo. The centre of the old village of Playa Blanca is less than 5 minutes by car from the villa (about 15 minutes’ walk), and it contains a wide variety of restaurants, bars and shops along the delightful Paseo Maritimo and neighbouring streets.

There is another beach, Playa Dorada, adjacent to the Paseo, and the old port and ferry terminal are close by.
