Accommodation description

This webpage show you details of our holiday home for friends and family in Lanzarote.

This spacious, split level apartment has sensational sea views and offers a good level of accommodation. It is in a central location within a few minutes walk of fabulous golden beaches, bars, restaurants and shops.

This two storey, duplex apartment is extremely light and spacious. On the upper floor there is a very well equipped, open plan kitchen and dining area. The raised living room is comfortably furnished and leads out to the terrace via large patio doors. There is also a cloakroom and utility room on this level. An open plan staircase with mirrored wall and steel rails leads down to the bedrooms. A partial glass ceiling and internal garden area add to the light, spacious feeling.

The extremely generous bedrooms are both en-suite and have ample wardrobe space. The master bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath, overhead shower, bidet and a double basin. There is plenty of space for a put-up bed in this room for a fifth person. The second bedroom has twin beds and an en-suite bathroom.

The apartment enjoys the use of the communal swimming pool and children's splash pool which are surrounded by a pretty terrace area with sun-beds and attractive sub-tropic plants. The apartment also has a large, private terrace leading from the living room. There are beautiful sea views from the terrace which is equipped with patio furniture and a built-in BBQ.

The Colony Club is centrally located in Puerto Del Carmen and is a few minutes walk to the picturesque old harbour. A pathway from the apartments leads directly down to the bustling main street and the plethora of bars, shops and restaurants the resort has to offer. The main beach of Puerto del Carmen is also only a five minute walk away. The Fariones Sports Club is also an easy five minute walk away where guests can enjoy aerobics classes, use the gym or hire a tennis court.

About 15 minutes drive from Arrecife airport, Puerto del Carmen offers 5km of broad, pale sandy beaches as well as a wide variety of places to eat and drink and it remains a popular destination for holidaymakers from far and wide. Made up of a ‘new’ and ‘old’ town, Puerto del Carmen has no high-rise structures and almost all buildings are white and unpretentious.

For nightlife in Puerto del Carmen you can watch the locals taking part in a few games of boules in the old town, which seems to be a nightly occurrence. The old town also offers a great variety of restaurants serving fresh fish, while if you head off into the holiday area you'll find everything from traditional English sports bars to Chinese restaurants.

“We have just enjoyed our third stay at Colony Club but first time in this apartment. The comments by H. from Glasgow really sum up all our thoughts about the apartment and Colony Club. It’s an ideal place to relax and recover from the pressures of everyday life in the UK with a great view out to sea and the lovely Lanzarote climate. We too make the most of the spacious balcony and enjoy the relative peace. The apartment is very well equipped for everyday living and self-catering needs, although for us part of the enjoyment of our holidays in Lanzarote is to visit the many restaurants for our evening meals. On a fortnight break you could easily visit a different restaurant each night within a reasonable walking distance from Colony Club. We hired a car and managed to tear ourselves away from the apartment occasionally to visit other parts of the island, all within such easy reach. There are some magnificent sights in the lunar landscape of Timanfaya National Park and the sunshine highlights some amazing colours in the volcanic panorama. We had a wonderful relaxing break and this apartment offers all you need for a truly super holiday.”

“This was our fifth stay at the Colony Club and our third time in this apartment. We love it!
It's light, bright, airy and very clean. The main bedroom is extremely spacious and the ensuite has a walk in shower, large sink/mirror unit and a separate toilet/bidet cubicle. The bed is a little small for me, but cuddly couples will be fine. There are two roomy wardrobes. The twin bedroom also has good wardrobe space and a nice loo, again with walk in shower. A bonus is that the bedrooms are separated by the stairs and a pretty planted area so there's plenty of privacy.
Upstairs there's a well equipped dining kitchen and utitlity room plus a small toilet, and a comfortable lounge area. But best of all is the big balcony which is a real suntrap, looks out to sea and is very private.
The apartment also has a sunroof which allows in plenty of light.
Another high point is the pool. Because this is a residential complex you pretty much get it to yourself and it's kept very clean, as is the whole complex. No more fighting for a sunbed!
Again, because it's residential, the neighbours are quiet and there's a real feeling of peace and tranquillity, enhanced by the security entry system. It's so nice not to have to listen to someone else's children/music.
Just one word of warning - I don't think the residents would appreciate noisy guests and there are strict rules about what's permitted. Although nothing any reasonable person would object to. For quiet types like us, it's perfect.
And this year someone from the management company called round to make sure everything was okay, which was a nice touch.
The Colony Club is well placed for both the New and Old Towns and there are supermarkets close by. The seafront is only a stroll away with plenty of restaurants and bars and a great beach.
We wouldn't go anywhere else.”
