The villa has a heated swimming pool (in winter months) set in large sun terraces which are both open and covered for shade. There is a built-in barbecue and a poolside shower. The garden is surrounded by high walls for privacy.

Entering through the large hallway, the villa has a split-level dining room and lounge with lovely high ceilings. Glass doors lead out onto the pool area. The large separate kitchen is well-equipped and contains a breakfast area.

There are two double bedrooms, both en suite. The three twin bedrooms share the exceptional third bathroom which has lava walls and a sunken bath. There is also a WC by the entrance hall.

As well as the above features, Villa Cartaphilus has a TV, DVD, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and music centre.

About 15 minutes drive from Arrecife airport, Puerto del Carmen offers 5km of broad, pale sandy beaches as well as a wide variety of places to eat and drink and it remains a popular destination for holidaymakers from far and wide. Made up of a ‘new’ and ‘old’ town, Puerto del Carmen has no high-rise structures and almost all buildings are white and unpretentious.

For nightlife in Puerto del Carmen you can watch the locals taking part in a few games of boules in the old town, which seems to be a nightly occurrence. The old town also offers a great variety of restaurants serving fresh fish, while if you head off into the holiday area you'll find everything from traditional English sports bars to Chinese restaurants.
