Owner's Tips...
Tinajo has some typical Canarian bars and restaurants where you will receive a warm welcome. Timanfaya National Park is just a short drive from Tinajo with its volcanos, and breath taking scenery.
The costal village of La Santa is just 5 kilometers from Tinajo, La Santa is a small fishing port, with good costal walks around the lagoons, this is ideal to watch the local surfers, or just relax and take in the beautiful costal scenery.
Tinajo and the surrounding area, is ideal for walking holidays for the more active minded traveller, also cycling is very popular, with some very good cycling routes.

“My husband and I stayed at the Casa Tranquila for two weeks at the beginning of November. We wanted a nice quiet property well away from the tourist spots and we were not disappointed.
The Studios were nice and clean with everything to make your stay comfortable, pool was cold but what can you expect at this time of year. Chris an his wife Shan are a brilliant couple always at hand should you need them, let's not forget their little dog Nula who stole our hearts. The village of Tinajo was very easy to get to and does have a good supermarket nearby. I would recommend hireing a car as busses are not too frequent. This is our fourth visit to Lanzarote and no doubt we will go back again in the near future, only one place for us to stay from now on and that is the "Casa Tranquila"”
Owner's response:
Hi Mary & Chris, thank you both for such a lovely review and for choosing Casa Tranquila for your relaxing holiday, we are very happy we ticked all your boxes, hope to see you both again sometime.
Chris, Shan, and not forgetting, Nula.

“It has been almost 2 years ago that my wife and I visited this place. By coincidence I've stumbled upon an old reservation mail and realised we've never wrote a review! But, better late then never. Casa Tranquilla is perfect for a relaxt holiday off the beaten track. Close to the national parc and other nice villages we really enjoyed the location. The owners gave us a very warm welcome and were very helpfull. It's a very positive memory and we'll definitively go back someday!”
Owner's response: Hi Ruben & imre, thank you both for such a nice review, i cant believe its been two years since you were here in Lanzarote, we are so pleased we have left you with such good memories of your stay at Casa Tranquila, & of course we would love to see the both of you again, Many thanks, Chris & Shan.

About us
You may well have seen the T.V programe, Living the dream, a place in the sun, well, we are such people, we have not been on T.V, but my wife & i and our son, bought a plot of land 1200 sqr mts, moved to Lanzarote, & designed & built our own villa in the sun ourselves, a lot of very hard work, a lot of turmoil, but we done it, Was it worth it ? ABSOLUTELY.
What we love about our property
The reason we love this property, we've built to our own personal needs, has a 7x4 mt solar heated pool, with two lovely studio apartments, that we let for holiday rentals, for people very much like ourselves, people who appreciate a rural life style, peace & quiet, with a taste of the real Lanzarote, but very accessable to the poular tourist areas ( nice to visit, but even nicer to come back to tranquility).
Year we bought the property: 1997
