About the property

The apartment is in a quiet, rural 18th Century finca, la Casa de la Caldera, with a 10m solar- heated swimming pool, terraces, gardens and Canarian bowling court. It is south facing and has views across the Femes valley.

Situated on the ground floor, it has two large, airy rooms, plus bathroom, and its own garden and barbecue area. The rooms have high, beamed ceilings and comfortable rustic furnishings. In the living room there is an open Canarian fireplace and a separate kitchen/dining area. The bedroom has one double and one single bed, plus generous storage cupboards. A cot or additional bed is available on request. The en-suite bathroom has a shower over the full-sized bath and a bidet.

We provide a complimentary 'welcome pack', all linen (except beach towels) and a twice weekly maid service. We are also able to arrange for a hired car to meet you from the airport.

Access to the apartment is up three well-spaced steps, but once inside, it is all on one level. We can supply a ramp for wheelchair users. Qualified baby-sitting or evening care is usually available.

There are two other apartments in the finca, and it is possible to book all three, providing accommodation for 12.

About Femes, Lanzarote

Femés was one of the first European settlements on the island, and the village church of San Marcial de Rubicon was the first cathedral to be built in the Canary Islands. Femés is worth a visit and is a special experience, both from a culinary point of view, as well as a wonderful view.

Owner's Tips...

Located amongst hills in quiet, unspoilt countryside, but an easy drive from the fishing village of Playa Quemada and resorts of Playa Blanca, Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero. It is an ideal place for activity holidays - walking, climbing, cycling etc., or simply relaxing. There are excellent restaurants in Femes, Yaiza and Uga. Nearest golf course is in Costa Teguise, but new ones are being built in nearby Tias and Playa Blanca.
