About the property

Club Oceano is situated in the quiet Timanfaya residential area of Puerto del Carmen. The location is ideal within easy walking distance of the colourful promenade with its excellent shops, bars, restaurants and golden clean sandy beaches. The old town is also only a short walk and is a good way of sampling some of the local atmosphere with its many fish resturants.

Club Oceano is made up of 40 spacious apartments built in an L-shape around a heated swimming pool and 200 metres from the beautiful sandy beach. They are either ground or first floor level and most have a sea view or a view of the pool. We are a family buisness and own, rent and run the whole complex.

The facilities on the complex include a large sun terrace with plenty of sun loungers and parasols, an infinity mosaic swimming pool incorporating a childrens' pool which is heated during the winter months, a mosaic Jacuzzi and an outside covered pool table. The gardens are well tended and the unusual tropical plants are an interesting feature of the complex. There is also a cosy private bar with great food, flat screen satellite TVs, full reception services including e-mail and internet access, car hire and excursions. Club Oceano continues to attract the same guests season after season, year after year and we are proud of this repeat business.

Furnished throughout to a high standard, the apartments are either one or two bedrooms and have a luxury marble bathroom, a fully fitted kitchen with full hob, oven, grill, refrigerator, kettle and toaster. A typical two bedroom apartment also has a breakfast bar and a comfortable living room leading onto an attractive patio or balcony. Available in each apartment is a flat screen TV showing programmes in English, a telephone, internet access (hard wire - bring your own laptop) and a safe deposit box. The apartments are spotlessly clean and regular maid service is included; bathroom towels and linen as well as an iron and ironing board are all supplied.

About Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote

About 15 minutes drive from Arrecife airport, Puerto del Carmen offers 5km of broad, pale sandy beaches as well as a wide variety of places to eat and drink and it remains a popular destination for holidaymakers from far and wide. Made up of a ‘new’ and ‘old’ town, Puerto del Carmen has no high-rise structures and almost all buildings are white and unpretentious.

For nightlife in Puerto del Carmen you can watch the locals taking part in a few games of boules in the old town, which seems to be a nightly occurrence. The old town also offers a great variety of restaurants serving fresh fish, while if you head off into the holiday area you'll find everything from traditional English sports bars to Chinese restaurants.

Owner's Tips...

Puerto del Carmen is a combination of traditional and modern. Originally a quaint fishing harbour and village, the town has developed into a very attractive modern resort along the south facing bays of the Los Fariones, Pocillos and Matagorda beaches. As with the rest of Lanzarote, great care has been taken in planning the architecture and landscape. The result is a beautiful promenade stretching the length of the three bays lined with palm trees and the colourful tropical flowers are a main feature.

The beautiful sandy beaches and clear blue water are ideal for sunbathing and swimming all year round. Puerto del Carmen is highly recommended as safe and suitable for young and old alike. The protected southerly situation shelters it from the prevailing winds on the North and East side of the island. The old fishing village has retained the harbour atmosphere and is an excellent place to sample the local fish restaurants and local shops which are only a short distance from all our properties. When the sun goes down, the beachfront livens up and there is a great selection of good quality restaurants, bars and discos later on.
