“This was our second year in a row at Villa Charlotte, returning this year with a new baby. Our family group ranges from grandparents in their sixties down to two small boys.

In our experience, many villas are advertised as a ‘home from home’ but Villa Charlotte is the first that has truly delivered on this promise. Some places tend to photograph well, then don’t live up to the hype! At Villa Charlotte, the quality of the bedding and furnishings, and the little things such as the range of equipment in the kitchen, make it just perfect. The attention to detail is just superb.

The pool is Villa Charlotte's major draw. It's simply amazing, with something for everyone. The baby/toddler area is large, with plenty of room for the little ones to gain their confidence safely in the water, while the main area is great for the adults to splash around in. The swim jet is great for experienced swimmers. As a previous reviewer said, the walls surrounding the property offer a lot of privacy and never once were we 'aware' of neighbours.

There are great views from the upstairs terrace of Fuerteventura and Montana Rioja. Stunning at sunset and sunrise.

I should also commend Fran and Paul, Villa Charlotte's managers in Playa Blanca. The villa was spotlessly clean on our arrival and is very well maintained. Fran is extremely helpful and is always available when needed.

All in all, we had a great holiday with fantastic memories of our boys in the pool and enjoying time with the family.

Hopefully we’ll return to Villa Charlotte again soon.”

“We were quite apprehensive about this holiday, it being the first time we have gone with the family, consisting of 2 daughters, husbands, 2 very active boys under 10 and a baby of 7 months, but in fact the way the accommodation was set out suited us perfectly - the annexe turned out to be perfect for us oldies, very well soundproofed from the main house, so we could get some peace and quiet when we wanted. I found it quite warm though and would probably have slept better if there had been an aircon unit, but the fan helped - although we went towards the end of July when normally it would have been very hot, the temperature was around 27 so it was OKish. The description of the vila was very accurate though I felt it was more than 15 minutes walk from the front, and we definitely needed the hire car for shopping. The location was very quiet.
The villa was very clean and well maintained - everything worked, though basic instructions for dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier would have helped - perhaps we just didn't find them! The big pool delivered everything promised - absolutely fantastic and gave endless hours of fun - the boys needless to say were hardly out of it, and all the boys (big and small) loved the pool table in the atrium. There was plenty of shade so no one burned, and there were ample sunbeds and chairs. The owners were extremely helpful and answered all our queries, and the agents in Lanzarote were good too - cant wait to go back! All in all a terrific holiday - could have used another week!”

“We had a fabulous holiday here and I highly recommend the property. While the villa itself is very nice, it's the pool that makes this place absolutely fantastic! It's a big pool so you can have a really good, proper swim, and if you feel you need to work even harder you can swim against the current of the hydro jet (therefore working up an appetite for all the lovely food available nearby - we especially loved the bodegas a quick trip inland in Yaiza, Uga & La Geria). The children's paddling pool, sectioned off from the rest of the pool, was a huge hit with the toddlers in our party & kept them busy for hours, while we were able to view them from the comfort of the numerous loungers & deck chairs. We could barely drag them away from the pool, infact, and only the promise of an icecream from the mutil-flavoured ice-cream shop & a play in the pirate-themed play park in town could tempt them away. The bridges added an extra interesting feature, and the place is very aesthetically pleasing, with nice planting & gorgeous views across the sea to Fuertaventura &, in another direction, Montana Rojo. It's also well designed with a substantial but decorative wall to give you lots of privacy, allowing you to wander around in your bathing suit without feeling self conscious.

The nearest supermarket wasn't great (expensive & poor quality) but a hire car allowed easy access to the numerous hyper-dinos & the excellent Ropers store for good quality fruit & veg & other groceries.

We were two families and fitted in nicely. It's a good sized property & is helpfully equipped with plastic plates, cups & cutlery, making it very family friendly. The outdoor dining area was lovely for a quick lunch before jumping back into the pool.

I really recommend this place. If you like to swim & you have children, it's absolute heaven!”
