About the property

Located in a prime location only a few minutes stroll to the centre of Playa Blanca, beaches and all amenities with no need for a car. Set in well maintained mature tropical gardens with excellent views our villa is an excellent choice for couples and families looking for the perfect relaxing holiday in a quiet and safe environment.

The villa has just undergone a complete re-furbishment throughout and our clients will enjoy air conditioning, flat screen satellite TV with lots of UK channels, DVD player, CD/Radio/Cassette player, and a washing machine with iron & board. Wheelchair access is now also possible.

The entrance to the villa is through wide sliding patio doors into a large lounge/dining area incorporating a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, electric oven & hob, microwave, kitchen accessories and ample crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils all of which are brand new. The dining table and lounge comfortably seats 4 people. The lounge has a large ceiling fan which keeps the villa cool during hot days.

There are two bedrooms and the main double bedroom is quite large with plenty of wardrobe space and two single beds which can be together or apart. This room also has a ceiling fan. The second bedroom is smaller and has bunk beds which are ideal for children. The new bathroom has a walk in shower and a hairdryer. Linen and towels are provided and we offer a twice weekly maid service at no extra cost.

For outside relaxation our villa comprises a tiled sun terrace which is private and secure, with patio table, chairs and reclining sun chairs. We also have a built in BBQ and a rolling sun blind for those who like the shade. There are garden and sea views towards the neighbouring islands from the terrace. A small variety of tropical plants have been planted.

All the fittings are to a very high standard and up to four people can be accommodated in comfort.

Choosing your ideal holiday home that looks just as good in reality as it does in the brochure is not easy especially when there are so many to choose from. You will most likely consider the comfort, cleanliness and the quality of the equipment provided as well as its location, surroundings, safety and the facilities on offer. About Playa Blanca, Lanzarote

Playa Blanca is the most southerly resort on Lanzarote and has many advantages for those who are looking for sun, sea and sand as well as good fish restaurants that generally host the catch of the day. From Playa Blanca's seafront you can see across to Fuerteventura, which is a mere 11km by ferry. Ferries cross to the island several times a day from the main harbour.

The front is populated with a variety of beaches, notably Playa Dorada, Papagayo (reckoned to be one of the best on the island) and Playa Flamingo. Playa Blanca has a relaxed atmosphere compared to the more upbeat nightlife in Puerto del Carmen, restaurants on the front feature a wonderful sea view - perfect for couples and families.

Owner's Tips...

Casas Del Sol: Casas del Sol has a large heated swimming pool with the shallow end gently sloping to a depth of around 180cm (6ft). There are plenty of sunloungers and parasols spread around the tiled pool terrace which is a popular place to meet new friends. There is also paddling pool for children and two tennis courts. There is a reception building which is manned by friendly English speaking locals who are able to help you incase of any problems. They are also offer helpful advice and reccommendations on places of interest, restaurants etc and can organise excursions, taxis, bicycle hire etc. The reception building also has a small shop selling the basics, an internet room and a large lounge with a good choice of books to borrow.

Casas del Sol was one of the first developments in Playa Blanca located in a prime position right opposite the little harbour and no more than a few minutes stroll to the shops, 3 golden sandy beaches and a good choice of restaurants. It is a highly sort after complex with many guests returning year after year. Due to its central location a car is not necessary.

Casas del Sol has been attractively lanscaped with mature gardens home to a variety of palm trees and other colourful tropical plants. All the villas are accessed by footpaths so there is no through vehicular traffic resulting in safe, peaceful and tranquil surroundings.

The Area: Lanzarote is an island with almost perpetual sunshine particularly in the favoured south and it is for this reason that Playa Blanca is now recognised as the ideal location for those wishing to soak up the sun but at the same time enjoying the benefits of peace and tranquility. When we first visited the island over twenty years ago, Playa Blanca was a tiny isolated fishing village but over the recent years has matured, fortunately in a controlled and acceptable way. The old village and it's immediate vicinity (where our villa is located) is still being sympathetically and attractively developed.

A short stroll brings you to a number of small golden sandy beaches a variety of excellent restaurants, bars, supermarkets, shops, banks, a petrol station and a church.

We are also just a short drive from the superb golden sandy Papagayo beaches - undoubtedly the best in the whole archipelago. The little harbour at Playa Blanca not only acts a host to visiting yachtsmen and the local fishermen but is also the main terminal for the frequent daily car ferry service to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura. The nearby upmarket Marina Rubicorn is a must see with its array of boats, chic boutiques and restaurants.

Getting There: Lanzarote is approximately three and a half hours direct flying time from most of the major airports in the U.K. and whilst there are a few flights on odd days during the week we remain with the main changeover day which is Thursday.

Recreation: Amongst the many current activities in which one can participate the following may be of particular interest (hiring subject to availability):-

Bicycle Hire - Available at reception.

Golf - Club de Golf Costa Teguise, 18 hole course open all year. Trolleys, electric buggies and clubs available for hire.

Swimming - In addition to the swimming pools referred to above the various local golden sandy beaches are all ideal for safe bathing.

Walking - Lanzarote has more to offer than just beaches and sunshine with many marked paths.There is a 7km pedestrian promenade along the coast just across the road from Casas Del Sol.

Watersports – These are numerous and include submarine trips, deep sea fishing, sailing (personal hire or with skipper), boat trips, windsurfing, jet ski, parasailing and surfing at Famara Beach.

Wine Tasting – believe it or not Lanzarote is home to many vineyards producing some excellent wine.

Shopping - Lanzarote is a duty free island and many bargains are to be had especially with small electrical items and perfumes. The shops are open late into the evenings so there is always plenty of time to shop. The main pedestrianised shopping area of Playa Blanca
is only a few minutes walk from the villa. For more bargains and crafts try the many local markets.
