Playa Blanca is the most southerly resort on Lanzarote and has many advantages for those who are looking for sun, sea and sand as well as good fish restaurants that generally host the catch of the day. From Playa Blanca's seafront you can see across to Fuerteventura, which is a mere 11km by ferry. Ferries cross to the island several times a day from the main harbour.
The front is populated with a variety of beaches, notably Playa Dorada, Papagayo (reckoned to be one of the best on the island) and Playa Flamingo. Playa Blanca has a relaxed atmosphere compared to the more upbeat nightlife in Puerto del Carmen, restaurants on the front feature a wonderful sea view - perfect for couples and families.

Owner's Tips...
Playa Blanca and Lanzarote have such a truely diverse choice of activities and unique places to visit, so much in fact, the whole island has been declared a Protected Biosphere.
My favourite beach is Playa Flamingo, a 5 minute walk away from Atlantic Gardens, the sea is partially enclosed by a raised breakwater, giving calm waters for children and families to enjoy. There is also the famous Papagayo Beach comprising of 3 large gloriously sandy bays. A naturists paradise! A water taxi regulary runs from Playa Blanca port as the beaches are reached via challenging cliffs. Truely a place to get away from it all.
With scores of restaurants within 2 miles of Atlantic Gardens, offering cuisine from around the world. Nearly all are within walking distance of the villa or a short taxi ride away. Even though we have our opinions of which ones are the best, we feel it is better to let you discover the magic for yourself.
Playa Blanca has a varied nightlife. Whether you're looking for live music, dancing or just a quiet drink. Simply take a walk along the promenade and we guarantee you'll find something different, something new, everytime you look.
There is thriving local arts and crafts market every Weds and Saturday in Marina Rubicon which is well worth a visit. The Marina is a pleasant 30 minute walk along the sea front or a short taxi ride from Atlantic Gardens. There are also a host of shops selling food and drink just minutes from the villa, as well as a mini market within Atlantic Gardens. Also, in the pedestrianised High Street of Playa Blanca, you can take advantage of a huge choice of VAT exempt goods, such as cosmetics, top brand perfumes and electronic devices.
For water sport lovers, there is a good Dive College and Surf School in Playa Blanca. You can also experience deep sea fishing with Lanzarote Fishing Club. Details of all these are included in my information pack.

“Tina was extremely helpful and 127 Atlantic Gardens was very clean and tidy on arrival. The whole site was very very quiet but well kept and well cleaned. The mature gardens are very pleasant. It is a short walk down to the sea and about 15 minutes walk to restaurants and shops. The swimming pools are cold but clean. The only 2 English language programmes on the TV are the news and a sports channel but there are DVDs provided to watch. It is a good base for exploring the Playa Blanca area at a reasonable price but probably not suitable for those that like more hustle and bustle or lots of things to do at night.”

“A very well situated small bungalow. The complex has all amenities with a beautiful communal pool and on site resturant. It is only 1 minute to the sea and a 10 minute walk to the start of the town. Close but not too close to all of playa blancas amenitys. The general area can be what ever you want it to be with beautiful quiet beaches a short distance away and the lively night life of the town a short walk away.Tina, the owner was very freindly and helpful. Worth every penny for those wanting a quiet relaxing holiday break with night life, resturants and bars on tap.”

About us
I first came to Playa Blanca village in 1980, when there was just a handful of restaurants and bars and fishing rivalled tourism as the main occupation. I never dreamed that one day I would be lucky enough to make this charming, tropical island my home. I took the opportunity after working in the civil service for 26 years, and initially taking extended leave to help look after an ailing relative, who happened to live in Playa Blanca. Well, over 5 years later, I'm still here, and intend to continue enjoying this exceptional climate.
What we love about our property
When I first visited Atlantic Gardens, everything just felt right. The location, right by the sea, was perfect. The bungalows all had well tended flowering shrubs & palms around them. The pools are the cleanest & bluest I have seen anywhere. And my bungalow has a superb central position, convenient for the pools & cafe, with easy access to the sea front & the 10km promenade.
Year we bought the property: 2006
