Accommodation description

This apartment is situated in a small well-kept complex in the old town over looking the harbour and sea. Many of the apartments are privately owned. The complex is minutes away from the local restaurants, bars, many of which have live music, and the beach. There are 2 championship golf courses on the island, Tias golf course was opened in 2008 and is only 5 minutes drive from the apartment.

The apartment consists of one double bedroom fully fitted with sea views, one twin bedroom fully fitted. Fully fitted modern kitchen with oven, hob and large fridge freezer, recently refurbished bathroom, washing machine. Living room has CD player, DVD player with DVDs, TV with free channels and a good, varied selection of books. Balcony has fabulous views of the sea, it comes furnished with table & chairs.

The welcome pack of water, tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits allows you to refresh after the flight.

There is a safe in the apartment.

There are two pools in the complex, one adult with a graduated deep end to 6 feet, one children's about 2 feet deep and plenty of sunbeds. Towels and sheets are changed weekly.

About 15 minutes drive from Arrecife airport, Puerto del Carmen offers 5km of broad, pale sandy beaches as well as a wide variety of places to eat and drink and it remains a popular destination for holidaymakers from far and wide. Made up of a ‘new’ and ‘old’ town, Puerto del Carmen has no high-rise structures and almost all buildings are white and unpretentious.

For nightlife in Puerto del Carmen you can watch the locals taking part in a few games of boules in the old town, which seems to be a nightly occurrence. The old town also offers a great variety of restaurants serving fresh fish, while if you head off into the holiday area you'll find everything from traditional English sports bars to Chinese restaurants.

Owner's Tips...

The apartment is ideally situated, within a few minutes walk are some of the best restaurants, bars with live music or it can be a starting point to explore this beautiful island. Yet the complex itself is quiet and private. There is a small secluded beach just ten minutes walk from the apartment if you do not wish to avail of the larger beaches in the new town.

Arrecife is the only airport on the island and is about 15 minutes from the apartment. Taxis are easily available outside the airport and cost approx €15. Car hire is available from the airport or along the new town but is not essential to get around. Taxis are cheap and available 24 hours.

Bookings should be made in plenty of time to avoid disappointment. If you find that the apartment is booked for the time you want it, we may be able to accommodate you in another apartment on the complex.

“Just returned from Anns apartment and glad to say it looked as good as the photos. The views are absolutley wonderful. Very comfortable & Well equipped.Was myself ,Husband & two sons aged 15 & 22 yrs. As there is 2 entrances it is worth making note to taxi/transfer people they should drop you off accross from the English Rose tea rooms as ours got lost going-easily sorted.The bottom entrance is very useful for going in old town as cuts couple of streets & hills out. Simple things such as the mosquito blinds on bedroom windows help as i usually get bitten but not one bite so was nice to leave window open at night Also felt secure as complex gated and key holders only. It is a lovley small complex with the pool straight in front of the apartment-just have to come out of side door and straight in-was not crowded either.It was also nice to meet Anne the owner when we arrived after our email exchanges as understand she had been staying on complex for few days. Gillian from the cleaning management company is also very nice and was on hand for my two lads when dvd player failed to play-promptly brought a new one over. I never hardly watch tv on hols but they like to have the option as teens/etc all seem to be film buffs these days and to get out of the sun for a while ensures they don't get bored. Cannot fault the place and all agreed would return.This was first time booked as not part of package but glad i did as not any hassle when you have done it once you are more clued up to do it again. It is so worth it as you get all the extra space than the money you pay in a package deal you'd get a 1 bed not two and all the home comforts that you just don't get with brochure deals. If you are reading this don't hesitate to book. You won't regret it. I'm quite choosy- trust me.”
