Accommodation description
Set in large well tended and mature gardens, the Costa luz apartments occupy a unique location directly on the sandy beach at Los Pocillos and many of the apartments have spectacular sea views. Having recently been refurbished, the apartments in Block 6 are comfortable and modern. Block 6 enjoys the best location, being front line and over-looking the beach, the views are superb, 180 degree panoramic view of sand and sea.
The apartments are particularly spacious inside and have two double bedrooms, one full bathroom with a separate shower room, sunny balconies, modern wooden kitchens with marble worktops, full modern oven and grill, ceramic hob, refrigerator, electric kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board. Satellite television, DVD players and safes are installed in all apartments. Beds can be made up as twin beds or as double beds, please specify your preference when you book.
The complex has a beautiful secluded swimming pool within a walled garden well supplied with umbrellas and sun loungers, which is heated in the winter months.
Just across the road from Costa Luz is a shopping centre with a well stocked supermarket and various interesting restaurants which the receptionist will be pleased to discuss with you. The main Puerto del Carmen promenade starts right outside the entrance gate.
The unique setting and pleasant situation make these apartments extremely popular and early booking is advisable.

About Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote
About 15 minutes drive from Arrecife airport, Puerto del Carmen offers 5km of broad, pale sandy beaches as well as a wide variety of places to eat and drink and it remains a popular destination for holidaymakers from far and wide. Made up of a ‘new’ and ‘old’ town, Puerto del Carmen has no high-rise structures and almost all buildings are white and unpretentious.
For nightlife in Puerto del Carmen you can watch the locals taking part in a few games of boules in the old town, which seems to be a nightly occurrence. The old town also offers a great variety of restaurants serving fresh fish, while if you head off into the holiday area you'll find everything from traditional English sports bars to Chinese restaurants.

Owner's Tips...
Puerto del Carmen is a combination of traditional and modern. Originally a quaint fishing harbour and village, the town has developed into a very attractive modern resort along the south facing bays of the Los Fariones, Pocillos and Matagorda beaches. As with the rest of Lanzarote, great care has been taken in planning the architecture and landscape. The result is a beautiful promenade stretching the length of the three bays lined with palm trees and the colourful tropical flowers are a main feature.
The beautiful sandy beaches and clear blue water are ideal for sunbathing and swimming all year round. Puerto del Carmen is highly recommended as safe and suitable for young and old alike. The protected southerly situation shelters it from the prevailing winds on the North and East side of the island. The old fishing village has retained the harbour atmosphere and is an excellent place to sample the local fish restaurants and local shops which are only a short distance from all our properties. When the sun goes down, the beachfront livens up and there is a great selection of good quality restaurants, bars and discos later on.

“The Costa Luz was excellent. The staff were extremley helpful and pleasent. We had a late departure flight home and the staff very kindly allowed us to stay in our apartment. I will definitely be booking my accommodation there again hopefully next February as it is such a good location.
I was there with my Sister, Brother & Sister in law. The only thing I could 'complain' about was that 'my' bed was very creekey!!.
Look forward to seeing you all in February?”

“We were staying in the San Antonio Hotel in December and saw Costa Luz apartments next door and went to have a look inside. The receptionist showed us around the complex and actually inside one apartment in block 6 (on the beach) which happened to be vacant for one day only (we were so lucky!). We loved it, went home to book it and have just come back from the first holiday there. It totally lived up to expectations and it was wonderful not having to dress up for dinner in a hotel every night (which can get boring believe it or not). We had the freedom to eat out where we wanted or stay in and cook - it was great. Location is perfect, but we knew that before. Cleanliness second to none. Friendly, quiet and relaxing complex with all the facilities you could possibly need.”

“My kids had the best holiday ever in Costa Luz and consequently so did we! The apartments are right ON the beach, but having said that, we tended to use the swimming pool most days, and use the beach for an after dinner stroll. Tons within walking distance to please us all - kids and adults. Apartments are the best equipped I have ever seen and really comfortable, absolutely spotless and in a fabulous position - really quiet and relaxing but close to the town. We've already booked to go back next year.”
