Accommodation description

This established and prestigious complex of approximately 40 modern 1 and 2 bedroom apartments enjoys stunning panoramic views of the sea, Old Town, harbour and across to the neighbouring islands of Fuerteventura and Los Lobos.

A3, being 1st floor, allows for the best views and no other guests above. It is situated in a cul de sac away from the main road and is quieter than some other estate properties.

Apartments on lower levels exist.

"From the first morning when I drew back my curtains and stared out at the blue sea, I was surprised by its beauty. We stayed at the Lago Verde apartments in Puerto del Carmen. We found a home from home in the resort's pool bar, where Steve took refuge from the "too hot" sun (more like his beer was too cold!).
Owned by Bernie,it proved a great place to chill out."

Although restful Lago Verde is a short walk from the main shopping area and the refined night retreats of the harbour frontage.

On the estate you will find a snack/licensed bar conveniently located next to the attractive swimming pool and sunbathing terraces. Local shops, bars and Restaurants are 200 yards away and the town/harbour with a superb selection of fish restaurants are all within 5 minutes walk; sandy beaches are around 12 minutes walk from the complex. The reception is manned by multi-lingual staff and provides all general information, excursion bookings, internet access and safety deposit boxes (though a safe exists in the apartment).

The privately owned accommodation has been recently completely refurbished and sleeps up to 4, having 2 fitted bedrooms, 1 twin & 1 double, one with DVD/TV combo. The fully tiled bath/shower room has a permanent hairdryer provided.

House linen and towels are provided. Weekly maid service plus mid-week CLEAN & TOWEL change included.

An on-site Laundry operates - purchase a token and powder from Reception.

Bedrooms have fly/screens as insurance against the rare nighttime bite.

The lounge with uninterrupted coastal views that constantly grasp your gaze, leads both internally to a modern fitted kitchen area with halogen hob, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, iron, breakfast bar and also outside to the sun-terrace with separate areas for both sunbathing and al fresco dining. Eating here whilst the ocean sunset concedes to the panorama of the Old Town’s lights is a particular pleasure.

The lounge also provides comfort and amenities with CD/radio player, DVD player and LCD flat-screen TV showing a selection of satellite channels which may include ITV1, CHANNEL 5, SKYNEWS, BBC NEWS, 5 USA and others but broadcasting restrictions and satellite coverage means this selection may change.

Internet access is via Wi-fi as an extra in the apartment or free in Reception and PAYG PC in Reception.

The pool is acclimatised during the winter months only.

A free welcome pack is provided for stays of 2 weeks or more. This includes bottle of white wine, bread (white sliced), milk (UHT 1 litre), Water (5 litres), butter or spread, orange juice, biscuits, meat slices, cheese slices, tea bags, instant coffee, sugar, washing up liquid, dish cloth, toilet rolls.

About 15 minutes drive from Arrecife airport, Puerto del Carmen offers 5km of broad, pale sandy beaches as well as a wide variety of places to eat and drink and it remains a popular destination for holidaymakers from far and wide. Made up of a ‘new’ and ‘old’ town, Puerto del Carmen has no high-rise structures and almost all buildings are white and unpretentious.

For nightlife in Puerto del Carmen you can watch the locals taking part in a few games of boules in the old town, which seems to be a nightly occurrence. The old town also offers a great variety of restaurants serving fresh fish, while if you head off into the holiday area you'll find everything from traditional English sports bars to Chinese restaurants.

Owner's Tips...

A location with a perfect blend of peace/amenities, town/beach, seclusion/choice.

Tias Golf Course (new) is 4 miles away - arrangements are being made to pay green fees locally.

La Bamba restaurant opposite provides quality and value - Marios is just one of many family venues at the Centro Montana Tropical at the Southern end of this small estate.

PLEASE NOTE: flights home from Lanzarote are often afternoon/evening but our apartments have to be vacated by 10am. Luggage storage is normally available on Lago Verde but book an extra day to ensure a leisurely end to your stay.

“Not having been to Lanzarote for 25 years and this my first holiday as a single mum, I was more than a little apprehensive. I needn't have been. Lanzarote, whilst having obviously developed over the years, has lost none of its charm and beauty, with activities to cater for every taste. Our apartment was stunning, with views that you would never get board of. The complex is clean, quite and friendly, with a wonderful pool bar run by two of the nicest people I have ever met. I know this sounds 'gushy' but it was the most wonderful holiday and I would recommend the apartment, the complex (the Pool Shack!!) and Lanzarote to everyone.”

Meet the owners...

About us
In 1982 I worked for a man who owned property in the then unheard of Island of Lanzarote. I was given the task of looking after his 3 apartments and fell in love with the island. 25 years later I had managed to get myself in a position to put my own foothold down and purchase my own place.

Whilst on holiday in an impressive apartment (A3) I went to the agents that I knew from those previous years and they told me that A3 was up for sale. That's what I call fate!

We now assist in taking bookings for other owners, as well as my own.

My life-partner, Helen, assists me with this.

Although I hope to live on the island one day these apartments are on a non-residential estate. So it is just for the enjoyment of others and hopefully a small benefit to my future pension - please enjoy!
