Accommodation description
Situated in a quiet area of Macher, yet only minutes away from all amenities, Casa Bonita has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a private (heated) pool, magnificent sea views and offers all you could want for a relaxing holiday in the sun but you can still catch your usual BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and 5 programmes if you wish. Casa Bonita is next door to our other villa, Casa Morena.
The large lounge/diner leads to a family bathroom and two bedrooms. The double bedroom opens onto a secluded, sun trapping patio. Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space in both bedrooms.
The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge freezer, gas oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine as well as all the usual appliances.
We provide TV with English programmes (BBC, ITV, Channels 4 and 5 - note this is unusual in Lanzarote), DVD, video and radio/CD/Tape and plenty of books, etc for your entertainment. A shaded dining area outside overlooks the terrace, heated pool and purpose built barbecue area. There are plenty of chairs, loungers and cushions and we provide beach towels as well as all bed linen and towels.
A generous welcome pack is there on arrival so you can have something to eat and drink as soon as you get there. This includes milk, tea, coffee, sugar, bread, cheese and/or ham, a few tomatoes, a bottle of wine and some beer together with a carton of orange juice and a bottle of water. These may vary and you can substitute if you wish, eg eggs for cheese.

A non-returnable 25% deposit (minimum £150) is payable on booking and the balance to be paid not later than 8 weeks before arrival date. If your arrival date is less than 8 weeks away, the total cost is required on booking.
Discounts are available for bookings of four weeks or more.
We prefer payments directly into our bank account by online banking or by paying over the counter at a bank; alternatively, we can accept payments using all major cards via PayPal but this will incur a 4% handling fee and is not available for very late bookings (less than 2 weeks).
We also welcome payment in euros.
About Macher, Lanzarote
Mácher is a 15-minute drive from the airport. It offers a quiet and peaceful holiday in a private situation. Mácher offers a number of restaurants and a supermarket and it has wonderful sea views. Just off the main Arrecife-Yaiza road, the village is centrally situated.

Owner's Tips...
Within a few minutes drive are the beaches of Puerto del Carmen with all the bustle of the sea-front shops and restaurants and the beautiful marina of Puerto Calero with its tapas bars, designer shops and boats. The national park of Timanfaya is not far away; also the green lake at El Golfo where there are wonderful fish restaurants and the vinyards in La Garia - well worth a visit. Within walking distance (about 1 km) of the villa is the village of Macher with a small supermarkets, garage and excellent restaurants, one of which is run by an English couple and is famous throughout the island for its excellence. Within about 5-10 minutes drive are also horse and camel riding and a new golf course.

“A lovely well equipped casa situated in Macher, which proved to be an ideal base for touring the island - no where is far on Lanzarote. Sitting out on the patio for breakfast in February is just what you want to shift those winter blues. There's everything you could need in the casa (very well managed by David and cleaned by Jan) and the pool is great for a refreshing splash. Looking out from the patio, there are distant views of Fuerteventura, sometimes looking very close, other times distant, depending on the weather. Self catering is easy in the well appointed kitchen; relaxing in the sitting room is comfortable with plenty of books, games and jigsaws if you want them; the bedrooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable and the ensuite and bathroom are commodious. All in all, a perfect find and we hope to visit again.”

“A beautiful, cosy house with lots of little extras. For example we could stay our last day until our plane left.(thank you, Jan) This gave us an extra whole day relaxing at the pool. Dave took very good care not only of the property but also of us he had lots of good advice about the island. Thanks to the heating of the pool we could swim every day during our stay in January”

“The villa is very well located in a quiet, peaceful yet accessible location. The pool, although small, was lovely and warm, we used it every day. The exterior of the villa was a little neglected and the outside area could have been better maintained. Unfortunately there was no welcoming pack waiting for us in the villa, this would have been nice as our plane was delayed and we arrived on a Sunday.
The kitchen was well equipped, having a washing machine and dishwasher was a boon. Both bathrooms and living area were great but our bedroom smelt/was damp.
All in all it was good value for money but would benefit from some end of season maintenance.”
Owner's response: I am so sorry this has happened. I am not sure what has gone wrong but will deal with it straight away. It sounds as though there was a problem with the management and a misunderstanding of what had to be done. Please be assured that it won't happen again.

About us
We live in Croydon in Surrey and have been married for 38 years; we have two children and three grandchildren. Nicky was born and brought up in Bristol while Tony is a Londoner. We met at Cardiff university.
What we love about our property
The best thing is the peace. We live in England in the Greater London area near the busy crossover of the A22 and A23. The quiet of our home in Lanzarote is so noticeable as well as the clear, clean air, so different to that we are used to in England. The views are amazing and we never tire of looking out over the fields to the sea, watching the cruisers, ferries and other boats going to and from Fuerteventura. We like to watch the birds and have had trumpeter finches nesting in one of our palms this year. Near enough to shops and beaches but far away from tourist hustle and bustle.
