Accommodation description
Large luxury new 3 bed detached villa is in 900m of land and is very private on a quiet developement near the Papagayo National Park, 10 mins walk from the first stunning Papagayo beach!
The villa is very secure and boasts a fine garden with space to find a quiet corner and read a book whilst the kids are in the pool. The large kidney shaped, electrically heated swimming pool set at approx 28degs is surrounded by a large "rubber rock" (non slip) patio. The patio is very large and accommodates a curved outdoor sofa, wooden dining table & chairs and option of a pool/table tennis table.
Internally there is a large lounge area with leather sofas and TV, DVD, satellite, Playstation 2 and Ipod speakers and the option of a wireless internet connection.
Main bedroom has a queen size bed and a fantastic circular double jacuzzi bath in it's ensuite, whilst the second bedroom has a kingsize bed and shares another bathroom with bath and shower with the third bedroom with twin beds.
Kitchen has microwave, cooker, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine and all the items you need for a home from home feel.
The villa has 3 areas in which to dine or relax, an indoor modern family dinning area as well as an outdoor family BBQ patio area with large wooden table and chairs and a relaxing curved outdoor sofa plus a third area that is perfect for a 'chill out' with another curved outdoor sofa and hammock !
For your arrival we include a free welcome pack containing; tea, coffee, milk, sugar, biscuits, and a bottle of water just to help you get started and we also have other food packs that you can purchase that will be placed in the villa for your arrival.
We also use a local agent who provides a 24hr emergency telephone number just in case!

About Playa Blanca, Lanzarote
Playa Blanca is the most southerly resort on Lanzarote and has many advantages for those who are looking for sun, sea and sand as well as good fish restaurants that generally host the catch of the day. From Playa Blanca's seafront you can see across to Fuerteventura, which is a mere 11km by ferry. Ferries cross to the island several times a day from the main harbour.
The front is populated with a variety of beaches, notably Playa Dorada, Papagayo (reckoned to be one of the best on the island) and Playa Flamingo. Playa Blanca has a relaxed atmosphere compared to the more upbeat nightlife in Puerto del Carmen, restaurants on the front feature a wonderful sea view - perfect for couples and families.

Owner's Tips...
A childrens playground, cafe, trendy sports bar and great restaurants are less than 3 mins walk together with new modern shopping centre with fashion shops and supermarket. The local beach is ideal for fishing and rock pooling for the kids and the superb Papagayo sandy beaches are approx 15/20 walk or 5 mins by car.
The Rubicon Marina is only 20 mins walk away, a place to relax and watch the boats go by or if you are feeling adventurous scuba diving / paragliding or even a trip in a submarine can be arranged.

“We had a fabulous two weeks at The Roundhouse. The pool was absolutely delightful and the villa had everything we needed. The beds were fantasically comfortable the best yet from years of travelling to Lanzarote. The villa is close to Roper's a large supermarket specialising in fresh meat and fish. It is a very pleasant 15-20 minutes walk to the lovely Rubicon Marina where there are lots of bars and restaurants. A car is not necessiarily a must if you enjoy walking but it is fabulous to be able to explore other areas of the island. The beaches of Papagayo are within walking distance.
We will definitely without doubt be going back”

“The villa was great, had everything we needed, plenty of space and as well as all the home comforts. Its location also suited us perfectly because it was quiet but close some shops/cafes and seafront and ideally placed for the fantastic Papagayo Beaches. We will definitely come back one day.”

“The Roundhouse is a really special villa, which suited us down to the ground. Located towards the edge of Las Coloradas, the villa enjoys a lot of privacy and calm. There's plenty of space both inside and outside, and we spent a lot of time on the terrace. We stayed for a couple of months, and used the villa as both a base for working (we can work via the internet) and holidaying, and with the space, we were able to spread our work materials out without a problem.
The pool is meticulously maintained by Paul from MoreSun Villas, who comes twice weekly. His wife Cerys comes once a week to freshen the villa up, and between them you feel really looked after - any problems, and they are quickly on hand to help.
We had a couple of tropical storms during our stay - the weather is definitely getting more extreme here, as with many other places - and one problem is that the buildings are not designed to withstand so much rain. But Cerys warned us beforehand, so as long as you accept that a bit of mopping up will be required, there's no big issue. One thing that would help in future would be shutters on the outside of the bedroom windows - so that they can be opened at night for fresh air, and of course for these storms that are starting to hit the island more frequently. They would also help keep the heat out in summer.
It's only 15 minutes walk to the Papagayo Beaches, which are fantastic, and about 1 hour to the town centre along a lovely sea front promenade. There's also a really good and regular bus service (no 30) that leaves every 30 mins for town from just down the road. We actually managed most of our time there without a car, though car hire is also very cheap and nearby.
We cooked at home a lot, and found the kitchen pretty well equipped - maybe another pan or 2 would have helped, but we are keen cooks and most people on holiday might prefer the easy life!
The satellite TV worked fine. In fact there are 2 receivers, though the second had problems with the colour balance, making the picture look distinctly green. Mainly UK channels from the "foreign" sky satellite", so no BBC1,2 ITV, C4 etc, but a few film channels and things like BBC Alba (for weekly Scottish football with Gaelic commentary!). Perhaps a German satellite receiver would be a good idea - it will make the villa more attractive to German visitors.
All in all a great villa! And we'll definitely be back next winter.
