Accommodation description
The bungalow is situated in an upmarket private holiday complex in a quiet cul-de-sac, close to the resort of Puerto del Carmen, called Matagorda.
Particularly good quality comfortable accommodation for a couple with a good sized bedroom with a brand new king size bed, large bathroom with bath/shower, dining table and chairs and an attractive lounge area with sofa and coffee table.
The sofa converts into a double bed suitable for up to 2 chidren.
In the kitchen there is an electric hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and all the cooking utensils, crockery, glasses etc that you will need.
There is a flat screen TV in the lounge with free satellite TV and English & Irish stations including BBC1, BBC2, ITV, RTE 1 & 2. The double sofa bed in the lounge offers the opportunity to sleep an additional adult or one/two children.
There is unlimited wireless connection in the bungalow for anyone wishing to take their laptop on holiday to keep in touch. This is free to our visitors.
You can take advantage of the comfort in the reception area, if you are waiting for a taxi or want to simply relax in the cool whilst you wait to meet friends before an evening out.
The complex has attractively shaped solar-heated pools including one for children. The vast beautiful Matagorda beaches and sea are just a few minutes walk away. There are spacious areas for sunbathing and relaxing and a plentiful supply of complimentary sunbeds around the patio and pool areas.
This bungalow is located below the pool area - providing complete privacy from the pool 'action' and a little peace if you are sitting on the bungalow’s patio having a quiet drink!
The patio of the property faces south, meaning that from late morning until the sun goes down, it is sunny, sunny, sunny!
Great for the day time and really important if you want to extend your day by winding-down with a drink on the patio during the early evening hours.
The bungalow's patio area has table and chairs for you to spend as much time as possible enjoying the outside atmosphere.
The complex is very well maintained. This is reflected by active management to ensure a high quality environment at all times.
Nearby you will find bus stops and a taxi rank. Supermarkets and shops are a few minutes walk, as is the beach.

About Matagorda, Lanzarote
Located within a 5-minute drive of Arrecife airport, Matagorda is considered the tasteful extension to Puerto del Carmen and offers the best of all worlds: It's surroundings give you a quieter holiday, with the more lively resort of Puerto del Carmen only a short drive away when required.
The resort area of Matagorda is a mile or so along the coastal road from Puerto del Carmen and is dominated by the sandy beach bearing the same name. There is a good selection of shops and restaurants to choose from, the commercial centre has plenty of places to eat, offering everything from pizza to paella.
Matagorda rentals are available with a good selection of villas and apartments to choose from.

Owner's Tips...
You do not need a car to stay at this resort, however, having a car would enable you to see more of the island, please do consider this, even for a few days.
When arriving at the airport, Matagorda is the nearest resort and the cheapest to reach by taxi. Within no time at all you will be settled into your holiday home for the duration of your stay.
There are lots of bars and restaurants local to the complex. A few minutes walk will take you to a tourist-designed area with restaurants, shops, supermarkets, bars etc, too many to list.
Walking a little further, will take you to a further selection of restaurants and bars right on the sea front, overlooking the Matagorda beach.
This area of the resort is also the quietest. No nightclubs on your doorstep here!
For a few Euros, you can hop in a taxi towards the lively resort of Puerto del Carmen. This is the main resort area where there are literally dozens and dozens of cocktail bars, restaurants, night clubs and snack bars for you to try out. There are also numerous shops selling almost anything you can think of. Or, you could drive (if you hire a car) or get a cab to Puerto Calero, the next resort on from Puerto del Carmen. This is a very upmarket resort and marina area, which has designer shopping areas (Ralph Lauren, DKNY, Armani etc) stylish restaurants and beautiful boats for you to watch whilst fine dining. An experience you should not miss!
The Matagorda bungalow offers an excellent standard of accommodation in a new and upmarket complex called Matagorda Bay, which is located within the Matagorda area of Puerto del Carmen, which is becoming one of the most popular areas along the Lanzarote coastline.

“We stayed in Pat's apartment for 5 weeks earlier this year and had a wonderful time there,the location is excellent,quiet,away from the noise of the pool area,surrounded by beautiful gardens,in front is the terrace area where we spent every one of our afternoons,it was o good that we tried to book another 5 weeks in the Summer but it wasn't available so we booked early for 2011 and we have 6 weeks Jan/Feb reserved and already checking flights to return for 2 months in the Summer of 2011.
Prices are good,Pat gets back to mails immediately when I contact him,overall it's an excellent apartment and we will continue booking whenever it is available,

“We would highly recommend this bungalow, it is new, spacious, very clean and extremely comfortable. We had 2 young children with us and still plenty of room (having the Irish and English TV channels has very handy too). We loved the complex, its so relaxed, we spent most of our time in the kiddie pool. It is only a short stroll to the shops, restaurants (very reasonably priced), and beautiful beaches. The bungalow is very private with a lovely patio for relaxing with a glass of vino! Just perfect for a relaxing break. Thanks again Pat for all your help.”

“Thank you Pat. You have a lovely apartment in a quiet and tranquil place. We loved it! The apartment was comfortable and exceptionally clean. We were so at home we stayed in for three of the evenings and chilled out. The terrace is sunny and spacious so we were very happy to sit out there when we could. Matagorda Bay suited us really well and our 18month old grandaughter had a great time pushing her toy buggy up and down the pathway from their studio to the bungalow. One thing we found out was that if anyone is ill ( as our liitle grandaughter was ) just hop in a taxi and go to the clinic in Tias. She received excellent care for a chest infection and it was all free. We are desperate to return and are watching out for cheap flights for October and February. Highly recommended for a really quiet and relaxed low-key holiday ... a real hidden gem. We love Matagorda with its beautiful stretch of beach and extended walkway along the front...we walked to Puerto del Carmen ......and the proximity to the airport is a total advantage. We left the apartment at 5.15pm and were in the departure lounge by 5.45! The aircraft noise did not trouble us one bit. The restaurants and bars are plentiful and food excellent. We are very envious of Pat having such a great apartmetn in a great spot. We will be back!!!”
