Accommodation description
Beautiful studio on a very friendly and popular complex,situated in a quiet area in the Old Town, our studio is situated at the lower part of the complex, it overlooks the attractive pool which is solar panel heated in winter and has magnifiant sea views over the harbour. We pride ourselves in the amount of return bookings we get.
It is furnished to a very high standard, has 2 single beds, sofa, dining table and chairs, kitchen includes hob, fridge, newly fitted washing machine, combination microwave/grill/oven, kettle, coffee-maker and toaster, new flat-screen TV with Freeview & DVD player and free lockable safe. Fully tiled bathroom, with walk-in shower. We have a balcony (which gets sun in the mornings, so ideal for eating your breakfast looking out to sea) with patio furniture including relaxer chairs and sun umbrella, we also have a rear furnished patio with sunbed, table and chairs with sea views and afternoon sun.
However, our studio is accessed by steps, and is therefore wheelchair inaccessible.
Our studio was refurbished in April 2008 to our own specifications, and we use it regularly! So you can be assured that it is kept to the highest of standards.
Free welcome pack on arrival which includes tea, coffee sugar, milk and water, in fact all you need to make a refreshing drink after your journey.
There is a friendly pool bar, run by Sophie and Ed, which holds a weekly BBQ and quiz night.

About Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote
About 15 minutes drive from Arrecife airport, Puerto del Carmen offers 5km of broad, pale sandy beaches as well as a wide variety of places to eat and drink and it remains a popular destination for holidaymakers from far and wide. Made up of a ‘new’ and ‘old’ town, Puerto del Carmen has no high-rise structures and almost all buildings are white and unpretentious.
For nightlife in Puerto del Carmen you can watch the locals taking part in a few games of boules in the old town, which seems to be a nightly occurrence. The old town also offers a great variety of restaurants serving fresh fish, while if you head off into the holiday area you'll find everything from traditional English sports bars to Chinese restaurants.

Owner's Tips...
The San Francisco II complex is a very friendly complex, situated in a quiet location, but close to all the lovely restaurants and bars around the harbour, the Biosfera shopping centre is a 5 minute walk away. The nearest beach is just along from the harbour and is small and ideal for snorkelling. The main promenade of Puerto del Carmen is a 10 minute stroll from complex, this is where you will find the main beaches, more shops and numerous bars. New 18 hole golf course has recently opened and is a 5 minute taxi ride away on outskirts of PDC. Transfer time from airport to complex is approximately 10 minutes.
There are two supermarkets situated within a 2 minutes walk from the complex, which offer a good choice, there is also a larger supermarket, at the top of Reine Sofia, called the Hiperdino, this is used by the locals.
The restaurants are second to none, especially around the harbour, where you can sit, eat your meal or enjoy a drink and watch the locals playing boules. We especially like 'El Ancla' which is down in the harbour and which has a really friendly atmosphere and the food is excellent. 'Marios' which is in the Montana Tropical complex is also worth a visit. Can also highly recommend the 'Casa Cabana' which is situated on Calle Teide, it serves excellent food.
Although car hire is not necessary, it is very reasonable should you wish to do so, either in the resort or collection from the airport when you arrive. We use Auto Reisen car hire company and have found this very reasonably priced.
Local buses are plentiful, details available from the Reception. A 'must' when in Lanzarote is a visit to the Sunday Market in Teguise. The stalls are situated around the old capital's streets.

“we stayed here for a week and found the apartment very clean and comfortable, the views were amazing from the balcony, pools were brill and the pool bar was very good run by sophie and eddie, the food was very good there aswell.
the old town was very nice but not for the less abled people lots of steps and steep hills, we found a restaraunt called le ancla ( down near the harbour ) big breakfast with chips for 2.70 euro. and cheap beer at the purple turtle very friendly staff, and cant forget about the tavern (next 2 marios) were u get good food and cheap beer and only 1 min from apartment.
overall an amazing relaxing holiday.”

About us
Hi, our names are Mark and Sue and we have owned our studio since August 2007. We have had the studio refurbished and we go over to Lanzarote and stay in our studio approximately 3 times a year. We treat this as our second home and this is reflected in the decor. Everytime we go over we always find something to do - new furniture to buy, painting to be done, but we love it.
What we love about our property
We love sitting having breakfast on our balcony, looking out at the pool and sea (we get the sun in the morning) and then in the afternoon we sit on our patio area at the back which then gets the sun, this also has a sea view.
We love the relaxing atmosphere of the complex, it is small and friendly, and there is always a warm welcome at the Pool Bar. The complex is kept clean and tidy by Barry, who is also on hand should any problems arise.
It is 'home from home' for us.
