Looking for a taste of the real Lanzarote? Look no further. Casa Yaiza, located in the picturesque village of Yaiza, ideally located between Playa Blanca and Puerto del Carmen, is a large detached villa capable of sleeping up to 8 people.

Yaiza, twice voted Spain´s prettiest village, is an attractive little market town with a supermarket, chemist, bank, church, Town Hall and square, plus a good selection of restaurants to suit all tastes. Yaiza is just a 10 minute drive to Playa Blanca, and is the gateway to the impressive Fire Mountains and Timanfaya National Park. It provides some of the best walking routes on the island and is the perfect location to base yourself whilst enjoying the many different delights of Lanzarote.

Casa Yaiza is located in a discreet cul de sac of the “pueblo” and is just a short walk to the local facilities and amenities of the village. The villa consists of 3 double bedrooms, a single bedroom, 3 bathrooms, a large living room, separate kitchen, a choice of dining areas, plus a large games room, which features a sofa bed plus another bathroom. The upstairs terrace has superb mountain and some sea views, whilst the ground floor terrace has very comfortable sofa seating, plus sunbeds, an excellent sand pit and a very impressive barbeque. The games room features a kitchen area and a large dining table, plus satellite TV, CD player, dart board and table football.

The swimming pool is a beautiful kidney shaped pool with waterfall, and is heated both with solar and electric power. There is an aluminium fence around the pool, allowing children to play on the terrace in safety. The villa has beautifully cultivated mature gardens, and there is plenty of space to kick a ball around.

Casa Yaiza is a secure, very well maintained and private villa, and provides guests with a truly authentic feeling of traditional country life with the locals. The neighbours are mainly Spanish families, including one delightful character with a few animals. This villa has been furnished to a very high standard and is perfect for families or for those who wish to experience the real Lanzarote.

Features include a heated pool, BBQ, sand pit, oven, hob, kettle, toaster, fridge, freezer, TV, CD players with DVD´s, stereo, safe, hairdryer, washing machine, dishwasher, iron and board, over 60 books, board games, table football, dartboard, exterior sensor lighting.

About Yaiza/Uga, Lanzarote

Two enchanting villages within 2km of each other, and steeped in local tradition and culture. Both are more reminiscent more of North Africa than Spain, both for its architecture, brilliantly whitewashed houses and the surrounding vegetation.

Uga in particular is famous for its fresh salmon. Yaiza is the principal village in the south of Lanzarote, and as such is responsible for the maintenance of the general area including Playa Blanca and El Golfo, and Timanfaya National Park.

While in the village a visit to the 18th century church, whose tower rises over the main square is a must. Art lovers should go to the Galleria Yaiza which exhibits local paintings and ceramics, most of which are for sale. La Era restaurant is a 300 year-old farm, which has been beautifully transformed. The food is Canarian; the wine is made on the farm itself. El Campo restaurant down the road is a locals favourite, and has beautiful volcanic gardens, built into the volcano opposite.

Owner's Tips...

A supermarket, bank, chemist, hairdresser, petrol station, bars and restaurants, Town Hall and church are all in the local area. Visit Carlos at La Bodega Restaurant in the village - one of the best on the island!
