About 15 minutes drive from Arrecife airport, Puerto del Carmen offers 5km of broad, pale sandy beaches as well as a wide variety of places to eat and drink and it remains a popular destination for holidaymakers from far and wide. Made up of a ‘new’ and ‘old’ town, Puerto del Carmen has no high-rise structures and almost all buildings are white and unpretentious.
For nightlife in Puerto del Carmen you can watch the locals taking part in a few games of boules in the old town, which seems to be a nightly occurrence. The old town also offers a great variety of restaurants serving fresh fish, while if you head off into the holiday area you'll find everything from traditional English sports bars to Chinese restaurants.

Owner's Tips...
Villa Ana is located between the Old Town and New Town with plentiful restaurants and bars in a relatively quiet location. The Harbour is within easy walking distance with a new marina being built with restaurants overlooking.
A good selection of supermarkets are available nearby with a couple staying open late.
The Biosphere shopping centre is about 10 minutes away providing various shops including some boutiques.
The area is well served with sporting activities; windsurfing, fishing, diving, sailing, waterpark, Go Kart circuit, Rancho and boat and submarine trips with tennis courtrs being a couple of minutes away and the new golf course a short drive away.
A car is not essential if staying within the Puerto del Carmen area as the airport is only 15 minutes from the Villa by taxi costing about 13 euros. You may want to hire a car for a few days to explore the many places of interest such as Timfanaya National Park, scientific volcano centre, museum of art, cactus gardens, Teguise market. Numerous carnivals take place providing plenty of interest for everyone.
Villa Ana is well equipped for spending those leisurely days by the pool for when not out exploring the island's varied places of interest providing something for everyone.

“We stayed in Villa Ana for a week in March 2010 and found the villa very comfortable. We were a party of two so the property was more than spacious for us. The villa was well equipped and in a good location in a quiet residential area of Puerto Del Carmen. It is very well placed for all of the amenities of the town, being only a short walk away from both the old town and the new town. The garden and pool area is very private as it is walled all round and there is also a large patio area to the front of the property. My only small criticism would be that the lounge suite was maybe a little bit tired. Overall however, we found it to be a very good villa and good value for money and we would recommend it .”
Owner's response: Thank you for your helpful comments. Villa Ana is comfortable and family friendly (though our couples rate has proved particularly popular) as is our large well loved sofa which we have found difficult to replace with an equally large version - we will now make this a priority when we are next out in May. We have had loads of positive comments and we and our friendly team in Lanzarote will make our best endeavours to ensure everyone enjoys their holidays there - we were last there at Xmas and enjoyed our dinner in the sunshine looking out over the rolling sea!!

“We stayed in October 2009 and really enjoyed ourselves in Puerto del Carmen. Villa Ana is a good size villa in a quiet area, very clean, well-furnished and equipped. We felt very comfortable and the heated pool was perfect. The old town, shops, bars and restaurants are in easy walking distance. The owners are very approachable and helpful which is always scores point with us so we highly recommended it and would definitely stay again.”

About us
We bought the villa for the whole family to enjoy and have gained much pleasure from staying
there. We had being holidaying in Lanzarote since 1998 and the main reason for purchasing the
villa was the year round climate, excellent food, relaxed lifestyle and friendly people. We like to
feel that the villa welcomes other families and couples giving a home from home feel.
What we love about our property
Villa Ana is great for us as we have no need to hire a car being close to shops and restaurants so
we can have a total break from home and driving around and not worry about how much wine we
drink! The children love to go to the local fishmongers where there is a wide variety of fish available and choose massive prawns for their tea. The sea life is extremely rich here and at a cove they can snorkel in safety close to the shore and see interesting sea life. We particularly like the easy transfer from the airport (15 mins by taxi) making the door to door time from our home extremely short.
