Accommodation description
Casa La Luz is a detached villa with a south facing heated pool so you have the sun all day. La Luz is in a get away from it all location yet close to all necessary amenities. At La Luz there is also a very nice and clean community pool which is within walking distance of the villa yet not too close to be of a nuisance to you. There are restaurants and 2 supermarkets & also an internet cafe within walking distance and you can also get freshly baked bread. For the people who are looking for a bit of peace and tranquillity then La Luz is for you. For those who want to visit Playa Blanca centre and do some sightseeing then you will have plenty to see. Lanzarote boasts some of the best sightseeing around with some very nice historical places to visit. Cycling is becoming very popular on the island and cycle hire is close at hand.
You may choose to relax around the heated pool with a good book or a nice long cool drink. There is also the alfresco dining area. The dining area is closed in apart from the open end where the BBQ is situated for convenience.
The lounge has a television and DVD player along with the satellite system which picks up UK and Spanish chanels. There is a small mixed collection of DVD's.
In the kitchen you will more than enough utensils needed to prepare a meal. There is a coffee maker as well as a toaster and electric kettle. There is also a microwave and dishwasher as well as a fridge/freezer.
There are two bedrooms, one twin with two single beds and the master bedroom has a double bed. The master bedroom has en-suite with bath and the main bathroom has a shower. Both bathrooms have wall mounted hair dryers and soap dispensers for your convenience. The master bedroom and the lounge has air conditioning. All the towels and the linen for the bathrooms are provided for your convenience, there are also pool towels all of which will be changed weekly.
We supply a welcome pack containing water, milk, wine, beer, cheese, ham, butter, bread, biscuits, fruit, tomatoes, there is a small amount of tea, coffee and sugar.
Everything advertised at the villa is in with the price there are no hidden extra's.
We have installed a new hot tub so our clients can sit back and relax with a glass of bubbly!

There is a booking deposit of 40% this is non-refundable in the case of cancellation. If there are 2 months or less to the start of your holiday payment must be made in full along with a £100 damage liability bond which will be refunded upon your return. If there are more than 8 weeks to the start of the holiday then a payment of the 40% deposit must be made. The balance of the payment and the £100 damage liability bond must be paid no later than 8 weeks from the start of your holiday. We accept payments via PayPal.
Times that clients can occupy the villa on arrival is always flexible according to the amount of cleaning time needed on the day. Luggage can be left whilst clean is being completed so clients can go off and explore.
About Playa Blanca, Lanzarote
Playa Blanca is the most southerly resort on Lanzarote and has many advantages for those who are looking for sun, sea and sand as well as good fish restaurants that generally host the catch of the day. From Playa Blanca's seafront you can see across to Fuerteventura, which is a mere 11km by ferry. Ferries cross to the island several times a day from the main harbour.
The front is populated with a variety of beaches, notably Playa Dorada, Papagayo (reckoned to be one of the best on the island) and Playa Flamingo. Playa Blanca has a relaxed atmosphere compared to the more upbeat nightlife in Puerto del Carmen, restaurants on the front feature a wonderful sea view - perfect for couples and families.

Owner's Tips...
Playa Blanca is well placed for the day tripper or sightseer. You can catch a ferry to Fuerteventura and spend the day looking around or sunbathing on the beech. You can pay a visit to Timanfaya (Fire Mountain) where you will see an active volcano which heats the ovens for the nearby restaurant. You can also take the coach trip around the National Park which is a sight to behold. If you like fish you can visit Yaiza and savour some of the best local fish and smoked fish is a speciallty. El Golfo is known for it's green sea and many superb restaurants.
There are also several markets on the island so you will not run out of things to visit and enjoy. Lanzarote is so rich in history and by exploring the island you will learn so much about it.

“If you are looking for a place to stay in Lanzarote, do not look further, Casa de la Luz is the best!
We really enjoy our 2 weeks in this wonderful house. All is made to feel confortable, relax and 'ON HOLIDAYS'!!
We rent a car for 2 weeks, it was very useful because we wanted to travel all arround the island to discover it... But if you want just to rest in the swiming pool or in the hot tube, there are enough shops arround to make all by walking.
Peter and Linda are very very kind, available, Thanks a lot to both of you for this.
Do not hesitate anymore, this villa is perfect!”

“Just got back from our great week in casa de la luz, what can i say except Peter + Linda we will be back again next year, a lovely villa which you have made home from home for anybody that stays there, (credit to you both).
From being picked up by Peter at the airport which is great if you dont want to hire a car or can do without any hassle the other side, and being greeted by Linda at the villa, the welcome pack as already said in other reviews is by far the best we have had too and i applaud you both for this, the last thing you want to do is go food shopping on your first day (chill drink and be happy).
My 4 yr old daughter Jessica loved the pool and the hot tub and was in both everyday until we left, she misses both and now wants both back home, (Dream only), the local places to eat and food shop are a short walk away (like 3mins) out of the main street to your left, and the sea is around (5 mins) out of the main street to you right, so you have everything close by, if all you want to do is chill in the villa for your holiday.
Peter has good knowledge of the island and will point you in the right direction if you want days out, (leaflets for days out in the draw of the coffee table if you stay) and the trip to the volcano is a must and we would strongly recommend it for either a short trip or full day, pending if you have young children i would go for the short day which is about 4 hours and the children wont lose interest, The camel ride is fun didnt think i would bother but did and its worth the 6 euros each and a laugh, even if they do stink (smelly creatures).
A bus ride is only 1 euro 20 cents so getting into town is easy, and they run around every half an hour, the bus stop is at the end of the shops, ive said enough but if you want a great holiday in playa blanca this is the villa for you, (very clean + tidy just like my home, hense home from home)

About us
My wife and I came on holiday to Lanzarote in the early 90's and we fell in love with the island instantly. We purchased a villa in Macher which we rented out on the holiday market. The majority of our clients were returning visitors from the previous year. We decided to move to Lanzarote on a permanent basis in 2006.
We used to go to Playa Blanca quite regularly and thought that this would be a good place to purchase another property. So we looked and looked for, what we thought, was the perfect property. We feel that we have found the perfect property in La Luz and want others to enjoy it.
What we love about our property
Why La Luz, well, the positioning is perfect as it is just 3 minutes walk from the front door to the sea. There you can sit and see the sea crashing over the rocks. You can walk from here to the sandy beaches. Across from La Luz is a couple of supermarkets as well as a few restaurants. There is no need to worry about drinking and having to drive home as home is close by. The nearby views of the sea and mountains are quite breath taking.
The other side of La Luz is that if you prefer to just go for a sit back and rest holiday then La Luz is for you. You can sit back and read or take a refreshing dip in the pool and sit back with a long cool drink.
