“Not very often I can say that the photographs did not do the villa or the views justice. From arrival through to departure the whole experience met and exceeded our expectations.

Everyone talks about the view but sitting overlooking the sea watching the sunset no one could tire of it. We even got to see a pod of Dolphins swim by one morning.

Thankyou to Paula for her help and making the booking easy.

I had to think twice about writing this report as more people get to hear about how good it is I could then end up dissapointed if it is booked up next year.”

“Lovely property. Great location - 10 minute walk to the marina for shops, restaurants etc. Sea views from living room and master bedroom absolutely spectacular. Heated pool great.

I would be inclined to consider this a 2-bedroom property - 1 double and 1 twin room. Although there is a third bedroom, it's in the basement with no windows and has a slight musty, damp smell so whoever slept in it would definitely be drawing the short straw.”

Owner's response: Hi Liam thank you for comments, unfortunately the 3rd bedroom has had problems this year due to flooding of the basement & garage area that has been getting sorted by the community complex and this may have left a damp smell we are looking at how to make this better with more vents in the walls but up to flooding had no problems whatsoever so I can only apologise for this and get the problem rectified.

“Have stayed at Villa Del Mar twice, the 1st in November 2009, with 3 friends, the 2nd time was with my husband and our friends in March 2010.
It's location is superb with fabulous views and we were so lucky to see 2 pilot whales passing through one afternoon which was quite special. The master bedroom is very spacious with plenty of storage and a huge balcony with a table and a couple of chairs. It's lovely to waken up to those sea views. The second bedroom is much smaller with 2 single beds which I must say are very comfortable but does feel a little basic in comparison, but you don't tend to spend so much time in your bedroom. The 3rd is in the basement which we didn't use.
The lounge and and kitchen are very spacious and very well equip and comfortable.
The outdoor area has plenty of room for 4 sunbeds and the upper terrace very nice with al fresco dining.The pool ideal for cooling off.
We didn't feel the need to hire a car. We have been to Lanzarote numerous times so have done all the sights.
It is a gentle stroll to the marina with the various restaurants, cafes, supermarket. It has an upmarket feel to the place. One evening we walked up the hill to the iberostar hotel and watched their abba night and had a couple of drinks and was made to feel very welcome.
We had a lovely chilled week and would definately stay again.
The booking process was easy and Paula who manages the villa is very efficient at answering any questions you may have and as she lives on the island any problems are easily solved.
The guest book is testament as there are many repeat visitors.”

“Villa Del Mar ia a modern terraced villa with a fantastic outlook over the sea and down the coastline. It is very conveniently situated just seven or eight minutes walk from the shops, bars and restaurants of Puerto Calero. The villa is in a peaceful location. We found the villa to be comprehensively equiped, clean and comfortable and well maintained.

The master bedroom, as with the main living area, has great views but the other two bedrooms do not have a view. The property could benefit from the addition of a sun awning to provide some more shade on the south facing terrace. Whilst quite small, the heated swimming pool was delightful for cooling off in the hotter parts of the day.

Paula, the manager of the property, is very helpful in ensuring you have what you need.”

“We have been to Lanzarote quite a few times & we have been to Peurto calero before, we enjoy it there.The view from the villa is unbeatable, it was very quit & private. The facilities provided are good. Paula who looks after this villa was very helpful.”
