“Very basic accomodation however spacious and good location but my sea view booking requirement resulted in a blank wall with no alternative accomodation.
Recommend changing bed linen at least once during week & had to request clean towels”

“Returned from a very very good holiday. The bungalow had everything we needed & was very spacious for 3 adults. It was very clean & looked after, Jessica was very helpull & nothing was too much trouble for her, There was plenty of wardrobe space & a washing machine which is an added bonus. We met some lovely people staying there as everyone was friendly. The pool was on the small side but did not get too busy. Could have done with a few more sunbeds but as not everyone sunbathed it was no problem. Would reccomend Sal y Mar to all. Thanks for a wonderfull holiday .”

“really enjoyed staying here was ideal for us and the 2 children, the play area however was not there but is still advertised as being there but i know that it was removed as it was old and that a new play area is planned soon. the accommodation had everything needed. we only had 1 tv channel but i asked rita for another tv on advise of the other geusts (who return year after year) who all had brand new flat screen tvs, and rita brought one into our apartment which was great as it had the disney channel for kids. Highly recommended and very close to all amenties, and a bonus washing machine in apartments.”

“The Sal y Mar are located in a perfect location, near the beach, supermarket, bars and restaurants in Matagorda. The appartments are clean and well laid out with two bedrooms. The staff are very friendly and the whole complex has a great family atmosphere. Other people staying in the complex at the same time as us have been going to them for years, which must say something. The appartment was cleaned regularly and fresh towels given on demand. We had the added benefit of having a washing machine in appartment 3.
I would recommend anyone to stay in Sal y Mar due to the great location, standard of accomodation and friendliness of the staff. My wife and I had a great holiday and have booked to go back in June again to the same place, without any hesitation.
My only complaint was that I would have liked sky TV, since there is only SKY news available. Maybe the staff could consider this upgrade for the future.”

“Enjoyed 2 week stay during July 2010. Bungalows are well maintained and location is excellent with the Commercial Centre right next to it with the beach a stones throw away. The pool is small but more than adequate and cleaned daily. One area that must be improved on is the lack of sunbeds.
Most days the total No available around the pool was probably seven which i thought was ridiculous, what was also annoying was that 2 or 3 of the guests had decided to place a sunbed outside their bungalow were the table & chairs are situated - that i find quite unacceptable & totally selfish. Enjoyed Matagorda, really nice.”

“Have stayed in Matagorda for the lat 10 years sometimes coming twice a yer and this is the nicest accommodation we stayed in. Only 10 bungalows so you get to know your neighbours, people look in at you walking by as no wall or trees but you get used to it. Right beside the shopping centre etc. These bungalows only suitable for couples or people with very young children as they would be bored, better off going to a bigger complex. Would deffo go back.”

“Me and the wife (Elsie) stayed at the Lanzarote Sol hotel apartments a short distance away which is how we found Sal Y Mar. The place is grerat value and very quiet and relaxing. Most of the bungalows were empty but the people we met were very nice. It was a bit disconcerting when we arrived and there was no sign of a key as promised but a couple of the bungalows were open so we picked one which looked unoccupied and we stayed there for 5 nights.

We are going back in November, there is entertainment at 10pm in the local hotel always good fun and there are pelnty of good places to eat and have a drink within 50 yards. 10 Euros from the airport - if you like to relax and have a quiet time it does not get any better.....”

“We stayed during the last week in march, it's a time we like to go away just after and just as the weather is warming up. this was an excellent place to stay, it's close to shops and restaurants and close to the beach. the complex its self is very private and quiet, if you like it so, it is also spotless, jessica who looks after it does an excellent job. the only gripe i have and it's only a small one there is no access to english speaking television which would be handy if you were staying longer than a week or had kids. am definitely going back next year.”

“Stayed here from the 27th July till the 10th August. It was great not having to check out early on day if departure as our flight was not till 8.30pm therefore we had the full use of the facilities for the day. Jessica (housekeeping) was very pleasant and if access to bungalow not available she would leave the change of towels in the patio. Enjoyed our stage, very clean and relaxed. Location ideal for a relaxing holiday
